On August 8, educational technologists from all over Estonia took a trip to Ida-Virumaa, where the sixth summer school of EHtL was held over the course of two days at the Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Center in Sillamäe.
The opening speaker, Argo Alaniit from the company GreenDice, talked about digital inequality and preserving the environment and made us think about how to deal with solving these problems. In various workshops, we learned more about learning design and learning process planning, portfolio creation, multicultural classrooms and e-learning at Eesti Energia, as well as additional options for Google and Moodle. In the AI experience cafe, issues related to the development of artificial intelligence were discussed. In the practical workshops, short films were created, cyber awareness tested, new robotics tools and VR equipment tested, and science-related problems solved. Appropriate for the year of movement, it was also possible to challenge yourself on the combined movement track and by orienting yourself in the surroundings.
In the evening, under the guidance of a guide, we visited Narva Venice and Kreenholm Manufactory, and of course we found time to walk along the wonderful promenades of Narva and Sillamäe. In the summer school, you could communicate with your colleagues, quietly tune in to work thoughts from the summer vacation, and gather inspiration for the new school year.
References to the summer school presentations are included in the schedule.
Many thanks to the organizers Natalja, Margit, Kristi, Heikki, Erki and thanks to all the participants for their active participation!
