On May 1, the EHTL board met in Pärnu to discuss the association’s activities and prepare for the upcoming general meeting of full members.

We had only been meeting online recently, so this was the first time in over a year that we gathered in person! That made the joy of meeting even greater — and we were all the more efficient. Unfortunately, we couldn’t meet at full strength, as Liisi was ill and joined us online.

There were plenty of topics to cover. We reviewed the projects launched this year. Diana provided an overview of the collaboration with the Ministry of Education, which includes several ongoing initiatives: the launch of practical AI workshops and trainer support, the initial stages of compiling good practices for the use of smart devices, and continuous information sharing.

We are also involved in the Tallinn University EQui-T cooperation project and discussed how we could further encourage member participation.

Liisi gave an update on higher education activities.

We began preparations for the general meeting and decided it will take place on May 27. Detailed information will be sent to EHTL full members by email.

We also reviewed the preliminary agenda and budget prepared by the summer school team and made our suggestions.

Additionally, we reflected on our communication channels — what we have, what’s working, what’s not — and made some adjustments. For example, we are currently moving from a Skype group to Slack, and LinkedIn isn’t performing as well as we’d like. So, there’s plenty to do.

There was so much discussion, debate, and agreement that we didn’t even manage to take a work photo — so instead, we greet you with a picture from the lunch table (or was it already dinner…).
