Starting in April, schools will have the opportunity to invite a trainer to their school to deliver a 180-minute practical workshop for teachers. The workshop is designed for beginners and requires no prior knowledge. The first round is aimed at general education schools, with preference given to schools transitioning to Estonian-language instruction. The workshops are prepared by the Ministry of Education and Research in collaboration with the Estonian Association of Educational Technologists.
Our goal is to ensure that all teachers understand what artificial intelligence is, how it works, and how to use it effectively in their work — both in planning and delivering instruction.
The workshop is hands-on and includes four different modules (with Modules 1 and 2 mandatory, and Modules 3–5 selectable by the school):
-
What is artificial intelligence and how does it work?
Challenges of applying AI in education (including legislation). -
Different chatbots, their working principles, and use.
-
How to use AI with students.
-
AI environments designed for education.
-
Multimedia tools and AI: creating images, videos, and audio.
